You arrive, and the first thing you see is the valley.
Welcome to Ab ins Grüne, your holiday apartment in Bad Wildbad. Designed by us as a family, with restored furniture, handmade details and room for time together. Outside, paths lead into the Black Forest. Inside, a game is waiting on the table. Make yourselves comfortable and find your own rhythm.
We’ll stay here a little longer.
The living room is the heart of the apartment. Outside the windows lies the valley, in front of it a large table where everyone squeezes together: for breakfast, for card games, for long dinners.
When it gets dark, the fireplace crackles, the record player spins, and nobody is in a hurry.
One more round. Or a film already?
Line up the next ball at the pool table, give it your all at table tennis, or bring a game to the table together. In between, curl up on the sofa with a book – and later decide which film you will watch together tonight.
Outside it slowly gets dark. Inside you have long since made yourselves comfortable.
Cook together. Enjoy in peace.
Browse the Black Forest cookbooks, get lost in the fairy-tale recipes and try something new together. One chops, someone stirs, now and then you taste. And then you sit together and enjoy it.
Later a warm bath or a shower. Put on something comfortable and let the evening slowly unfold.
The forest is welcome inside.
A few branches from here, moss in handmade pictures and forest animals that have sneaked onto the duvets. So the green keeps you company even as you fall asleep. The little ones snuggle up with the foxes, you perhaps read one more story. At some point your eyes get heavy.
In the morning your gaze drifts across to the Sommerberg. Stay under the covers a little longer and wake up slowly. There is time to set off later.
Sit outside. Lose your gaze in the green.
Take your coffee outside and watch the morning slowly move into the valley. Opposite, the wooded slopes; below you, the roofs of Bad Wildbad. The book lies in your lap, but your eyes keep returning to the view.
Later lay the table together, pour a little more and keep talking. Until the first lights come on down in the town.

By train and bus
The railway station is about 850 m away. With the guest card you can use public transport for free.
Good to know
To be honest: the apartment is on a slope and can only be reached by stairs, so it is not accessible for wheelchair users. In return you get the view. It is about ten minutes on foot downhill to the town centre; the way back is steep uphill.
